Solardoise: photovoltaic solar slate combining aesthetics and performance
Developed by Solar Structure, the Solardoise photovoltaic module is a premium solution, designed to combine architectural aesthetics and energy performance. With more than 35,000 modules installed in four countries, it embodies a model of sustainability, manufacturing quality and advanced technology.
A solar canopy installation on your home or building delivers far more than basic weather protection. Not only does it shield you from rain, wind, and direct sunlight, but our photovoltaic awning also generates independent electricity, helping you lower energy bills.
Our high-efficiency, sleek solar panels convert sunlight into usable power for your home through a microinverter, enabling self-consumption while adding a modern, elegant touch to your property’s entrance.
Beyond that, the canopy functions as a natural sunshade, reducing summer heat buildup and window glare. This cuts down on air conditioning needs, promoting sustainable energy savings. It’s a versatile, stylish, resilient, and eco-conscious solution.

What does the Solardoise photovoltaic module consist of?
Each Solardoise module is composed of high-quality elements, carefully selected to ensure yield, durability and weather resistance.
It includes:
• A dual-glass structure with two 3.2 mm tempered glasses offering high mechanical protection
• 48 M10 TOPcon monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic cells (half-cell format of 210 mm)
• A high-performance EVA encapsulant
• A black backsheet for uniform aesthetics
• An IP67 junction box integrating 3 bypass diodes
• 1500 mm output cables with TS4/MC4 connectors
With a peak power of 240 Wp (i.e. 173.69 Wp/m²), a weight of 23.5 kg and dimensions of 1316 x 1050 mm, Solardoise adapts to both small surfaces and large roofs, including in areas with demanding weather conditions.
This solar slate perfectly illustrates the integration between energy efficiency and architectural respect.
What is the power output of a Solardoise photovoltaic panel?
The Solardoise photovoltaic module displays a nominal power of 240 Wp, i.e. 173.69 Wp/m². This peak power level is particularly suited to a wide variety of solar projects, whether it's a supplementary installation, a self-consumption system or complete roof coverage.
Thanks to its dual-glass structure and high-performance monocrystalline cells, Solardoise ensures reliable solar production in varied conditions. Its lightness -- only 23 kg/m² -- makes it compatible with roofs with specific weight constraints, as is often the case on old tile roofs, whose frames are already used to their maximum capacity. This is a considerable advantage compared to standard overlay modules that can reach 60 kg/m².

The advantages of the Solardoise solar slate
The Solardoise module offers a rare combination of technical and aesthetic advantages. Its slate format, its building integration and its durable materials allow perfect integration in high heritage value environments, without compromising performance.
This module stands out notably for:
• Its ultra weather-resistant dual-glass structure (rain, wind, heat, frost)
• Its compatibility with roof slopes from 15° to 55°
• High durability and a 20-year manufacturing warranty
• A power warranty at 87% over 25 years, ensuring longevity and energy profitability
Its essential role is to produce renewable electricity while preserving the visual appearance of historic or sensitive buildings.

What is the efficiency of a Solardoise photovoltaic module?
Even in a demanding slate format, the Solardoise module delivers optimized energy efficiency. The arrangement of its monocrystalline solar cells, its double-glass frame, and its installation with a central inverter ensure stable electricity production, even on listed buildings or in areas with significant urban constraints.
The technology used ensures good performance in the face of temperature variations, partial shade, and other non-standard operating conditions often encountered in specific architectural projects. By focusing on rigorous production monitoring and regular checks, it is possible to optimize the system's performance throughout its entire lifespan.
What types of projects is Solardoise suitable for?
Thanks to its technical characteristics and discreet design, the Solardoise photovoltaic module fits into a wide variety of projects:
Application examples:
• Individual houses
• Public buildings
• Listed heritage roofs
• Garden sheds, extensions, outbuildings
It is also perfectly suited to renovation projects, with an energy update of old buildings, or to new constructions aiming for energy performance. Its low thickness, reduced weight, specific shape, and resistant materials (IEC 61215, IEC 61730, IEC 61701 certified) make it a particularly versatile product.
It is also a long-term economical alternative: depending on the case, it can represent up to 40% savings compared to a tile roof + overlay photovoltaic system.
Whether for a natural slate or tile roof, this solar slate adapts to the existing configuration.

Installation et maintenance
Our Solardoise photovoltaic modules are designed for simple installation by an approved/trained and qualified professional using a central inverter, a recommended technical methodology to ensure performance and durability.
Installation follows a three-step process: support preparation (laying boarding or battens), installation of rail fixings and hooks, then laying of Solardoises that interlock like traditional slates. All that remains is to install the flashings to guarantee optimal aesthetic integration.
Maintaining a Solardoise module is generally easy: it consists of cleaning the glass surface from time to time to remove dust, dead leaves, or rain residue. An annual electrical production check is recommended, particularly to verify performance and the absence of defects.
Investment in a Solardoise system should be considered over the long term, taking into account its exceptional durability, its ability to preserve the building's heritage value and the energy savings generated over several decades.
